Nichiballe was born from a passion for Canadian cultural expression and a recognition of the power of festivals to unite communities. Founded in 2010 by Marie Beauchamp and David Chen, our company began as a small team dedicated to promoting local music festivals in Ontario.
The name "Nichiballe" combines elements from Japanese (Nichi - sun, day) and French Canadian (balle - dance, celebration) languages, representing our commitment to bringing light and joy through diverse cultural celebrations across Canada.
From our humble beginnings, we've grown to become Canada's premier festival curation and promotion company, working with cultural organizations, municipalities, and independent promoters from coast to coast to coast.
Today, our team of 45 dedicated professionals works from our Toronto headquarters with satellite offices in Vancouver, Montreal, and Halifax. We continue to be guided by our founding vision: creating meaningful festival experiences that showcase Canada's rich cultural tapestry while fostering community connection.
